How did you use media technologies in the construction and research, planning and evaluation stages?

Google- the search engine provided us with research and planning materials such as information about different genres of music, different music videos, the changes in music videos as years go on and it also provided us with images of Beyonce and Christina Aguilera.

Youtube was the media technology used in order to research different music videos for different genres. After researching music videos on youtube we used Blogger to blog what we had found and used blogger to show our progress throughout producing the music video.

We used Blogger.com to diary all our work and to store all our research.

I filmed the entire music video as Kayla was performing in it and was the lead- i used a tripod and a Sony camera in order to film the video- no particular type of lighting was used, just the normal level in the room. After filming, we uploaded the footage onto Adobe premiere pro and used that to edit our footage- we also used adobe photoshop, another media technology to edit our poster and to produce our digipak.

Here are a selection of screen-grabs of our editing process using adobe premiere :)

Here is a screengrab from me editing the music video using the timeline on Adobe Premiere pro.

Here is a screen-grab of us transferring the audio onto the timeline on adobe premiere.

Futhermore, after our video was edited and the digipak and poster were finalised, Kayla and I  uploaded our ancillary text and music video onto Facebook, twitter and Youtube- all new media technologies in order to gain feedback and opinions on what people really thought of our products!

Blogger, Youtube, Facebook, Adobe premier and Adobe Photoshop were the main five media technologies I used- Blogger was used on a weekly basis in order to update on our progress, Youtube was used to plan and research our music video. Adobe premier was obviously the main technology used as our music video was entirely edited on that alone. Photoshop was used to produce both our digi pak and poster. Furthermore, Facebook and twitter were mainly used for feedback and evaluation however, Facebook provided us with more feedback than any other new media technology we used (Youtube/Twitter).

ALL media technologies used in the research, planning and editing stages were really useful and effective as GOOGLE, YOUTUBE provided us with all the information we needed and ADOBE PHTOSHOP, PREMIERE allowed us to edit and prodice our final products, finally- FACEBOOK and YOUTUBE assisted us in gaining the feedback! BLOGGER allowed us to track and journalise our progress!

  1. Ok, well done, almost there.
First of all you need to have a separare post with all of your finished products in them - video, poster and digipack.
The video is a comfortable high level 3, but if its not on your blog you wont get marks for it.
The poster and digipack are also high level 3.
The research and planning is also level 3, but needs a shooting schedule somewhere...
Eval 4 doesn't really work - why not use uploads of your work and not just logos! and evaluate how effective the tech is. dont forget the kit you used either!
